Kitty Kats, Wildcats compete in district track meet

The Yorktown Kitty Kat and Wildcat Varsity and JV track teams competed in the District 31-2A Track Meet on April 1st, in Woodsboro, Texas. The Varsity boys and girls were competing to advance to the Area Track Meet in La Villa, Texas, on April 23rd. The top 4 varsity finishers in each event advanced. Here are the varsity results:

Varsity Girls

Brycen Allman – 4x200m Relay (6th), 4x400m Relay (6th); Braleigh Dodds – 4x200m Relay (6th), 4x400m Relay (6th); Jasmine Hernandez – Shot Put (4th); Ayana Longoria – 4x100m Relay (3rd), 4x200m Relay (6th); Seely Metting – Pole Vault (1st), Discus (2nd); Kaylee Parker – 4x100m Relay (3rd), 4x200m Relay (6th); Gabi Romans – 400m Dash (6th), 4x400m Relay (6th); Addison Rosales – 4x100m Relay (3rd), 100m Dash (6th); Brooke Turner – 800m Dash (2nd), 400m Dash (3rd). 4x400m Relay (6th); Nina Villarreal – 300m Hurdles (2nd), 4x100m Relay (3rd), 100m Hurdles (4th), Triple Jump (4th). Additionally, Metting set a new school Pole Vault record by clearing 10’1”.
