Lady Gobblers serve up defeat to Yoakum

On Tuesday, Aug. 31 the Lady Gobblers beat Yoakum at the Roost in three sets, 25-14, 25-22, and 25-16. This win puts the Lady Gobblers with a 20-5 record for this season.

Jeri Ficklen had 14 kills, three aces, and two blocks. Bromli Watson had seven digs and 40 assists for the Lady Gobblers.

When asked about the team dynamic Coach Ashley Price commented, “We have more connection and chemistry.”

“This goes to show how much of a role experience with each other plays on the court. Being able to trust and communicate with one another makes things run a lot more smoothly. Seeing the girls grow as a team has been an experience.
