Having the opposition bank in a three-pointer to open the game is usually not a good omen. An 11-2 run to start was ended on a Celeste Smith three, but Nordheim were trying to play catch up the rest of the night.
Down 20-5 after the opening quarter and 32-17 at halftime, the Lady Pirates started the second half on a little run before North Zulch pulled away down the stretch and earned the bi-district win, 60-38.
