The Nordheim Lady Pirates have spent the last month playing away games, so it was good for them to return home for the first time since Dec 7. In their first game back home, the Lady Pirates faced McMullen County JV on Tuesday, Jan 7.

Led by the combined 29 points from sophomore combo, Danielle Wilson and Emagen Styra, Nordheim would claim the victory 34-25.

When asked about the post presence that Strya brings, coach Randy Castillo had this to say: “She is great. A very hard worker, she shows up every night with her best.” Nordheim would square off with the Charlotte Trojanettes on Friday night, Jan 10.

The first half was a tight one, that saw Nordheim hold a one-point lead heading into halftime, 22-21.
