Looking to clean up defensively

With Spring Break taking place this past week the Lady Gobblers still found time to get in a couple of games. On Monday, March 14, the Lady Gobblers faced a Danbury team they have seen earlier this year in tournament action. Cuero lost that game 11-2 and struggled again, losing 15-4 on Monday. The four runs came via the long ball on two separate two-run dingers by Camdyn Lange and Camdyn Apodackis. “Defensively it has been a struggle for us as of late. I think the most frustrating thing is that it’s plays we have made in the past. The teams that we schedule are going to put some pressure on us,” Coach Cody Miller stated.

The Lady Gobblers would follow up with another game on Tuesday at home against La Grange. Down 2-1 to start the third, La Grange rallied for six runs putting the mean green in a tough hole to climb out of losing 8-2.
