As the school year winds down, the Yorktown Kitty Kat basketball team continues to bring in honors. Recently, senior Seely Metting, who averaged 27 points and 10 rebounds this past season, was named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) All-Region team and the Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) All-State team. Metting also received the Class 2A Individual Free Throw Award for making 152 free throws during the course of the season. Additionally, Metting and fellow seniors Kaley Lassmann, Kaylee Parker and Aubrie Ruppert were named to the TABC Academic All-State team. Metting, Lassmann and Ruppert were also named to the TGCA Academic All-State team.
