This year at the Yorktown Sports Banquet both Kitty Kat of the Year and Wildcat of the Year was selected. Senior, Seely Metting was announced as Kitty Kat for her outstanding sports performance throughout the last four years. This year in volleyball she was named First Team All-District Outstanding Hitter and Academic All-District, and TGCA All-State and Academic All-State. In basketball, she was awarded McDonald’s All American High School Basketball Team nomination, TABC Girls Individual Free Throw Winner, TABC Academic All-State, TABC All-Region Team, District MVP, TGCA All-State, Lace’em Up Allstar, Varsity Cup Female Athlete of the Year, and Academic All-District. Metting was a state qualifier in track, placing sixth while also being named Defensive Player of the Year in softball and academic all-district.

Drew Alexander and Jacob Guerrero were named Co-Wildcat of the Year. This year Guerrero was first-team utility player in football and second-team running back. He participated in Texas High School Powerlifting Association and was a Division 4 state qualifier, returning with a silver medal. Guerrero competed in the 114lbs. class and set three powerlifting records this season in squat, bench, and total weight lifted.
