With many still adjusting their wardrobe back to normal after the cold snap, some students are gearing up for another type of wardrobe change.
The schedule is made, the gear is being checked, and the fields are being prepared for baseball and softball to kickoff. The first meeting of the year will be hosted by Yorktown’s Coach Justin Dunnam on Jan. 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the YHS gym. Athletes are expected and parents are invited to attend, as Coach Dunnam will be covering rules, expectations, and the schedules for the year.
January 26 will be the first day of practice, with a Black vs Gold scrimmage set for Feb. 1 at 4:45 p.m. The first scrimmage against another school will take place Feb. 8 against Goliad.
At press time, the schedules for Nordheim Pirate baseball and Lady Pirate softball were not yet posted.
