Styra, Williams crowned state champions

The Nordheim senior class of 2022 consists of 10 students. Three of those ten went on to compete at the UIL Conference 1A State Meet this past Saturday in Austin at Mike A. Myers Stadium.

The environment in Austin is second to none. The adrenaline rush and roaring of the packed crowd generate the best in every athlete competing.

Nordheim’s athletes had quite the Saturday at the State Meet. It’s one that will be remembered for quite a while.

“I thought these three seniors came out and competed and did what they have been doing since they have been here in Nordheim,” expressed a happy Coach Williams. “I am just really proud of the way they competed, their whole career all four years to get to the state level. The medals and stuff is just another plus. All the hard work, and early morning that it took to get to this level, I was just proud of them no matter what. The medals just added to it.”
