Wildcats dominate Lions

Friday night, the Yorktown Wildcats left the field with their most one-sided victory of the year, beating the Kenedy Lions 48-0. This continued Kenedy’s losing streak for the year, stretching it to 0-9. On the other side of the ball, Yorktown currently stands at 5-4 overall, with a District record of 2-2.
The dominance started from the first kickoff. With only 52 seconds ticked off the clock, Yorktown cross the goalline for the first time of the night. Cruz Medina hit his first extra point of the night to set the score at 7-0 Wildcats. Minutes later, the Wildcats would again score, though Medina would miss the posts on the ensuing point after. To add insult to injury, the Wildcats would find the endzone once more before the first quarter was over. with the point after sailing wide left, the quarter would end with the score 19-0 in the Wildcats favor.
