On Friday, Oct. 15, the Wildcats are scheduled to play against the Pettus Eagles. This is a frequent matchup, as the series entails both teams going head to head over forty times. The overall record has a slight lead in the Wildcats’ favor with them winning the series by two, 21-19-1.

In district play, the Eagles have yet to record a win. They lost their district opener to Woodsboro, 8-12.  They forfeited against Falls City in week two. The Wildcats have picked up district wins against Agua Dulce and Woodsboro before falling last week to undefeated Falls City.

Pettus had an overall 1-5 record last season, missing several games due to Covid-19. Seven offensive and seven defensive players are returning from last year.
