Coming off a dominating district performance, the Wildcat golf team traveled to Corpus Christi for the Region IV 2A golf tournament held at Gabe Lozano golf course. District 31 champion, Drew Alexander fired off a one over par, 73 round the first day. This would be the best round recorded of the two-day tournament, in a field of 64 golfers.  Alexander’s day one round had him sitting in first place as an individual with a two-stroke lead over returning state runner-ups, Jackson Patrick and Cole Hermesmeyer from Goldthwaite. The Wildcat team was paired with Goldthwaite, Thrall, and Weimar. Alexander would find himself paired with Hermesmeyer the returning golf medal regional champion individual of last year. On this pretty spring day, both golfers played great golf. The Wildcat golf team finished the first day in sixth place. The team totaled 398: Alexander 73, Cameron Willis 108, Dalton Eckhardt 103, Konnor Sullivan 114, and Trent Foerster 123. The Wildcat team was paired with Goldthwaite, Thrall, and Weimar on day one but would play against Thrall and Shiner on day two.

With only the top three teams advancing the Wildcat team was down twenty strokes to third-ranked Falls City headed into day two. The Wildcat team would better their score by twenty-eight strokes, recording a 370 total. They would narrowly inch out Shiner by two strokes for third place as Falls City and Weimar had both dropped significantly in the team race. The Wildcat golf team would punch their ticket to state with an overall team total of 768. The course played significantly different than the previous day due to weather conditions. The first day the wind was coming in off the beach, but on day two the teams contended with less than ideal conditions with wind, rain, and cold from the north.
