One mascot, two schools. While they share a namesake, only one can leave with the win. On Friday night, Yorktown plans to be that team.

The Yorktown Wildcats will travel to face the Weimar Wildcats in Weimar this Friday for their first game back from a bye week. As tough as Yorktown has been playing in the past few weeks, the bye week should prove to be a boost needed to further dominate the competition to come.

This game will also mark the beginning of district play for both teams. Yorktown, currently 3-2 overall, is looking to extend their three game win streak with a defeat of 1-3 Weimar. Weimar will be looking to recover from a crushing 69-7 defeat at the hands of Lexington.

Yorktown’s last game before the bye week resulted in muddy 12-0 win in Woodsboro. For live game updates, follow the Yorktown News-View Facebook page.
