Yorktown cross country in Goliad

This past Saturday, Sept. 25,  the Yorktown High School Varsity Cross Country teams competed in the Goliad Invitational Cross Country Meet in Goliad.

In the varsity girls division, senior Brooke “The Machine” Turner medaled in 12th place in a personal best time of 13:16. Other Kitty Kat runners were: Madison Lemke (20th), Carlie Villarreal (44th), Kaley Lassmann (47th), and Gabi Romans (57th). All five Kitty Kat runners ran personal bests.

In the team competition, the Kitty Kats placed 4th out of seven teams, placing ahead of host Goliad, Odem, and district rival Refugio.

In the varsity boys division, freshman Jonathan Guerrero was the top Wildcat finisher in 40th place with a personal best time of 21:30.
