Six Cuero Gobbler boys athletes competed at the UIL State Track and Field meet in Austin May 12-13 at the University of Texas’ Mike A. Myers Stadium.
Cuero’s baseball season ended in heartbreaking fashion in the area round of playoffs.
Expectations were high for the Lady Gobbler softball program entering the 2017 season. Last year’s team advanced to the regional finals for the first time in school history.
Track season is nearly over, but the Cuero Gobblers still have some unfinished business to attend to this week in Austin.
Michael Barta made his first varsity playoff start in the Gobblers’ playoff-opener against Crystal City.
