JCF career day a success

Dear Editor,

We would like to thank all the individuals/ businesses for making our 2022 John C. French Elementary Career Day a huge success. The students had a blast while exploring many different career options. We began the day with Career on Wheels Parade. Thank you to these participants: Ariza Fencing, Carson Fencing, Chica’s, Cowboy’s D&C Wrecker Service, Cuero Police Department, Cuero ISD athletic trainers/ Cuero ISD Football Team, City of Cuero, Cuero Fire Department, Cuero ISD Food Service, Cuero ISD Transportation, Cuero National Bank, Dewitt County Producers, Freund Funeral Home, Game Warden Kram, Greg Nemec and tractor crew, GVEC, Mac Truck Tools, Mayor Sara Post Meyer, OG Rocks, Partner’s Chevy, Friar-Thomas Foundation-Richard and Colton Filip, South Texas Banshee, South Texas Strutters, TXDOT, Stevenson Unit, Wanjura Family, Wamsley Performance.

The day continued with the following presenters sharing their careers with the students. A big thank you to: Blackbird Yoga- Abi Blinka, Chica’s Beauty Salon, Cuero Fire Department, Cuero Police Department, Cuero Veterinary Clinic, Cuero ISD Speech &Occupational Therapy, GVEC, Pedal Express, South Texas Strutters, Stevenson Unit, Texas Department of Transportation.

We greatly appreciate the time these individuals volunteered out of their own busy day to help our students learn the importance of hard work and education at an early age.
