Local Yorktown resident and Karnes County ISD student, Madison Gwosdz, competed at the Girls State Powerlifting meet in Frisco on March 16. Gwosdz placed an impressive 4th in her weight class while also breaking two of her personal best records; lifting 290 pounds in squat, 150 pounds in bench (PB) and 270 pounds in deadlift (PB) for a total of 710 pounds.
