Youth deer hunt successful

Warwas Farms of Nordheim hosted a youth deer hunt sponsored by Texas Youth Hunting Program on Dec. 2-4. Four boys ranging in age from 10 to 17 traveled from Cypress, Spring, Helotes, and Palacios. Three dads and a mother accompanied their sons on the tent camping hunt. The hunt was successful as each boy harvested a deer. Texas Youth Hunting Program offers hunting opportunities for youth ages 9-17. Hunts are typically conducted on private ranches throughout Texas and ran by trained huntmasters. Huntmasters on the Warwas Farms youth hunt was Harry and Shirley Odell of Edna and David Sneed of Victoria.
