Jaclyn Gwosdz of Yorktown High School recently received a $2,500 scholarship from GVEC. This year, GVEC awarded $50,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors, in an effort to support them as they to move on to higher education.

I can remember the days this was something sang every Sunday especially at the end of the service or before the offering was taken. Victoria College celebrated the completion of the Bill Ruddock Workforce Training Classroom at VC’s Gonzales Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 27. The new 600-square-foot classroom was constructed inside the VC Gonzales Center’s Workforce Training Building, located at 1828 St.

Color Run to kick off Yorktown celebration Yorktown’s 175th anniversary celebration will begin with a Color Run on Saturday, June 17. The race will start at 9 a.m.
