Pet Adoptions of Cuero Has So Much to be Thankful For
As the small town non profit pet rescue and shelter looks back on the last 12+ years since it's inception - there is so so so so much to be thankful for: *Lucky to have a very visible location - 407 US Highway 183 South, Cuero *Proud of the standards of operation for intake of pets - making sure each pet is vetted, microchipped, spayed/ neutered *Blessed with dedicated 'walkers' who find time to walk, socialize, bathe and interact with the pets *Having a facility built to accommodate a large number of pets and with service areas, play areas, and welcoming areas for potential adopting guests *Blessed by media exposure on the Victoria TV Station, KIX Radio, KLove Radio, The Cuero Record, Yorktown News and Views and the Victoria Advocate *PAOC Adoption specialists ready to help potential adopters find the perfect pet for their home, their lifestyle and their family *Help and assistance from Cuero's established Vet Clinics - Cuero Vet Clinic and Dewitt Vet Clinic But most of all - the COMMUNITIES - Pet Adoptions of Cuero is so grateful and appreciative for the financial donations, food and supply donations and service donations. All this support helps keep the shelter succeeding and meeting its goals of taking in up to 400 cats and dogs each year, getting them vetted and adopted out. This includes support from Cuero, Yorktown, Yoakum, Runge, Sweet Home, Concrete, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Victoria and dozens of other small towns near and far. We are indebted to all the friends old and new who are the backbone of our success. Thank you one and all from all the pups, canines, kittens and felines - and most of all the PAOC staff and crew. We are making a difference!

Many of us will gather with family, friends, neighbors, or others this week to celebrate a very special day and time of year. Thanksgiving has a tremendous meaning and has been celebrated for years and years because of the blessings we have received from the Lord. He has graciously given to us in our abundance and delivered us from hard times in the past or present days of our lives.

It’s Hook’em and Gig’em time once again in Texas
There are many Thanksgiving traditions, such as turkey and dressing, pumpkin pie, tamales, family gatherings and even football. For years, the Texas-Aggie game was a feature of a Texas Thanksgiving until A&M left the Big 12 Conference to join the Southeastern Conference . Those who bleed orange or maroon, and even those who just like the game, can enjoy this Texas football feud once again this Saturday after 13 years. The Cuero Chamber of Commerce will show the game on a big-screen TV under the Market Pavilion “I think rivalries are good for the sport,” Ray Reese, Cuero attorney and Baylor grad, said. “I think it is good for our state. There has always been a lot of tradition and, of course, the Thanksgiving tradition,” he said of the game coming back to Texas.

Monday night supper club delicious, Santa stops in Nordheim first!
Heavenly Father... Heavenly Father, today I feel alone, yet I am not lonely. There is peace in solitude while I pray in quietness to lead my thoughts to restful healing. Help me use this time alone to find myself and reach deep inside my heart and mind to find peace. Calm the spirit within me as I reach out for Your Amazing Grace and pray in the name of our dear Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
