Drawn Hunt applications open for 2024-25 season

Hunters will have new opportunities and scenery this fall through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s (TPWD) drawn hunt permits program. Doris Marie White

Doris Marie White, 93, of Cuero passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024. She was born October 20, 1930, in Cuero to the late Ned Givens Thigpen and Viola Vienna Simon Thigpen. She married the love of her life, Odell White Sr. on February 19, 1950, in Cuero. Doris was a wonderful wife and mother who raised five children. She enjoyed gardening which showed through her beautiful flower beds and bountiful vegetable garden. She enjoyed cooking and baking and always had enough for family and friends. She also had a passion for sewing, making beautiful quilts and learned the tedious needle point called Brazilian embroidery.
