Memorial Day different from other veteran holidays
Wow, six months have come and gone since my swearing in the Office of Cuero Mayor. Today is Veterans Day, a day to honor all those who have retired or served honorably in the Nation’s military, someone who at some time in their life, signed a blank check made payable to “The United States of America” for an amount up to and including, his/ her life.

Puppy Love, not just for kids
The crew at Pet Adoptions of Cuero had a fun afternoon recently sharing some puppy love with several of the residents at Cuero Nursing and Rehab Center. PAOC packed up three special pups for this event. And it was a pass, share, hug, cuddle and snuggle time for the fur babies. They loved getting all the attention and human contact with so many of the residents. The PAOC staff also loved hearing endearing stories some of the residents shared about their former pets. Many of them still had pictures galore to show on their cell phones of their former 'Fido' or 'Fluffy.' Thanks to Jennifer Wilson, activities director, for the invitation to this delightful pet related afternoon.

The Cuero Record Devotional Page
Life is short and should not be taken for granted. We should thank the Lord every morning and every night for the time He has given us on earth. No one knows the time the Lord is going to take us home to be with him or allow Satan to take non-believers to his hot place in hades.
