He married Anna June Eakin on August 7, 1976. He enjoyed doing small engine repairs, welding, fishing and cooking for his family. Mary Katheryn Stauffer

Mary Katheryn Stauffer, 88, of Rockport peacefully passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. She was born April 30, 1936 in Shiner to Charles and Mary Stary Jiral. She married Kurt Werner Stauffer in San Antonio in 1980. She was a dedicated LVN and while her children were growing up, she worked with many local youth organizations. Mary began painting in 1978 and she enjoyed painting many types of art mediums. While in Switzerland from 1981-1995, she continued to expand her love of art by quilting, needle pointing and sculpting dolls. In 1995, she returned to live in the states settling in Rockport where she continued needle pointing and sewing but also began to take art classes from her neighbor Joyce Clarkson. Some of her artwork can be viewed at the Cuero Pecan House. She retired in Rockport and enjoyed her Lee Circle and Tuscany Village friends. 12/10/2024 04:06 PM

Sheldon Eugene Kenne, 71, of Yorktown passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024. He was born June 1, 1953 in Nordheim to Clifton and Aileen Bohach Kenne. He married the love of his life Mary Ann Bomba on July 14, 1974. They recently celebrated their 50 th anniversary surrounded by family. He served in the United States Airforce. He later retired from Dupont after over 30 years. He was happiest when he was surrounded by his wife, his boys and their families. He would sit on the back porch for hours to spend time with his family or to watch the cow parade every day when they would move from one patch to another. Eugueno Rios, 76, went to his forever home on November 17, 2024, with his family by his side. He was born on September 15, 1948, in Moody, TX, to Domingo Rios and Adela Guzman Rios. Eugene, affectionately known by his family and friends as Jeep, Caño, and Geno, was devoted to his loving wife Linda of 52 years. Eugene and Linda met in February 1972 at Yorktown City Park; it was love at first sight. They were inseparable and enjoyed going on road trips, working in the yard together, and embarking on their many ice cream adventures. Mr. Harvey Joe Stary, 85, of Cuero passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024. He was born June 16, 1939 in Shiner to Joe and Cecilia Sassin Stary. He graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School as well as Baldwin Business College. He proudly served in the United States Army Reserves for eleven years. He worked as the Yoakum City Manager and then went to Circle Y Leather Industry to be the Cost Accountant for twenty-six years. He was a newspaper delivery man for the Victoria Advocate for fifty years. He retired at age sixty-two to avoid new computer technology and to enjoy the simple country life driving his buggy or tractor, feeding and spending time everyday with his 4 legged girls in the pasture. 12/04/2024 06:21 PM
