The Lady Gobbler Softball team has finished up their scrimmages and are ready to battle it out this season. The Lady Gobblers kick off their season on Tuesday, February 11 at home versus Ganado. Coach Cody Miller commented “Our scrimmages have been productive. After graduating five seniors last year, it has allowed us to work with kids at positions that need to be filled. AUSTIN – Texas Game Wardens have concluded an investigation that led to the arrest and conviction of two individuals involved in illegally moving captive whitetailed deer. A South Texas deer breeder and his business partner were caught attempting to smuggle seven deer from a licensed deer breeding facility in East Texas through Montgomery County to Brazoria and Duval counties, where they intended to illegally release the deer into the wild on private property. 02/12/2025 11:05 AM

Although a joyous occasion for the retiree, unfortunately the city loses experienced and highly skilled individuals.
