Heavenly Father, we ask that the spirit within us will sustain us as our body betrays us with the sin of each waking day. Guide Your Holy Spirit to be our path in which we are to follow to enrich others as well as ourselves with deeds of kindness and good will. We ask in the name of our dear Savior, Jesus. Amen.

Celebrating community and hope at Christmas in the Park
Dear Editor, This past Saturday, I had the privilege of volunteering with the Cuero ISD Education Foundation at the annual Christmas in the Park event. Amidst the twinkling lights and festive decorations, I was reminded of the true spirit of Christmas—hope. It was heartwarming to see people from all walks of life, including those traveling from different states, coming together to enjoy the beautiful illuminations. As I engaged with attendees, I witnessed the profound impact this event has on our community. There were people facing tough battles, such as cancer and recovery from abuse, as well as those simply searching for a bit of joy during the holiday season. Seeing their faces light up with the Christmas spirit gave me a deep sense of warmth and a renewed sense of duty. It was a powerful reminder that even small acts of kindness, like volunteering at such events, can bring immense joy and comfort to many. I am incredibly grateful to live in a community that supports this honorable display year after year. I’m also thankful to be part of an organization like the Cuero ISD Education Foundation, which dedicates its time to spreading joy through smiles, greetings, and even a peppermint stick for those passing through to enjoy the scenery. A heartfelt thank you to Christmas in the Park for bringing this magical experience to life each year, and to the Cuero ISD Education Foundation for their unwavering commitment to our community. It is moments like these that make me proud to call Cuero my home. This is truly the place you want to be.

In January 2025, the City Secretary will be accepting filing documents for the two At-large and District 2 council positions which will be up for re-election this coming year (May 2025). The Cuero Record Devotional Page
The Lord gives everyone a spiritual gift. We are told in 1 Peter 4:10; “As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” It doesn’t matter who we are, what we have done in our life, when we come to Christ and accept His abundant grace, He opens to us our spiritual gift or gifts that He has given us.
