Letters to the Editor
Dear Editor, If Kamala Harris becomes the President, this country will receive what it deserves. In 1917, Lenin, the founder of the Russion Revolution, made a prophecy: “The Great Eagle (the United States) will never fall from without, but shall crumble from within.” Enough said.

The Cuero Record Devotional Page
What do you think about this headline? Do you believe it to be true or not? All of us, at some time in our lives, have heard people say, “I am right, and you are wrong.” In today’s world of high-tech industries and procedures the technique of teaching and leading others, especially employees, has changed. It has become a world of dictating what to read and learn from books and manuals instead of handson learning from others that know what they are doing.

Retired school personnel hear from Louderback
“Passion about” and “committed to” are the words of former Sheriff A. J. Louderback used to describe how he intends to approach public education in Texas when he addressed the DeWitt County Retired School Personnel at their October meeting. The meeting was held at the Cuero Municipal Library. Mr. Louderback believes that children are our most important asset and educating them ensures more productive citizens in the future. He knows first hand about the role of public education because his mother was a teacher. While he understands that the legislature needs to address many issues in Texas, he says public education is among the most important, if not the most important item. Louderback has faith in the schools within his district and stated that he tries to keep in contact with superintendents. He said that parental participation in the educational process has been represented well through the process of electing school boards. Mr. Louderback pledged to work for a strong public education system in Texas, for appropriate educational funding in Texas including professional salaries for teachers, and for more efficient and productive methods of running the schools.
