Karen Elaine Lewis, 75, of Cuero passed away Friday, January 10, 2025. She was born June 20, 1949 in Beaumont to Woodrow Copeland and Elaine Bond. She married Joseph “Jay” Lewis in June of 1990 in Tyler. Kay proudly held the title of first female president for the Cuero Lions Club. Friday night, the atmosphere inside the gym was electric as the Cuero Gobblers faced off against the San Antonio Kennedy Rockets to kick off district play. From the tip-off, it was clear that both teams were ready to battle. The first quarter was a back-and-forth affair, with the Gobblers able to establish a 7-point lead.
