Dog pack runs rampant through city
A pack of unclaimed dogs ran throughout the city on Saturday, July 20, and again Sunday, July 28, leaving carnage in their wake. The pack attacked and killed animals, including as many as 25 cats, most of which were beloved family pets. Every summer, children get heatstroke or die as a result of being left unattended in a hot car, but a Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service safety expert says there are ways to avoid tragedy. Cindy Kovar, AgriLife Extension program manager for Silver Drivers Safe Texans, said the first thing to remember is that as temperatures increase, so does the likelihood of heatstroke and death for any child left in a vehicle. 07/23/2024 02:37 PM

(Contributed Photo) From June 1 to June 7, 2024, 17 Yorktown students, parents, a grandparent and a teacher were part of an educational tour of Washington, DC, along with a group from Cuero Junior High. The group was led by Sean Douglas, a teacher in Cuero, and Coach Val Acree, a teacher and coach in Yorktown.
