Hornets Shutout by Stout Wildcat Defense
Friday, Oct. 25 the Wildcats remain undefeated in district play after defeating the Louise Hornets at home, 39-0. The Yorktown defense has dealt three shutouts this season with two back to back in the past two weeks. Defensive standouts Richard Flores, Rylan Rau, Adam Serbin, and Cameron Willis have a combined 175 tackles. Serbin leads the way with 52 total tackles. Rau, Willis and Flores have 42, 41 and 40 tackles, respectively. Matthew Olguin has given opposing quarterbacks distress, as he tops the wildcat leaderboard with six interceptions. Rau leads the team in sacks while senior Travis Buesing and sophomore Brayden Knostman have 37 and 30 tackles, respectively. 10/30/2024 06:21 AM

Villarreal celebrates 1,000 digs
On Tuesday, Oct 22 the Kitty Kats defeated the Bloomington Lady Cats, 25-14, 25-9, and 25-10 and senior Nina Villarreal celebrated quite the accomplishment as she has recorded a career high 1,000 digs. Villarreal is this year’s libero and is a four-year letterman. 10/30/2024 06:21 AM

Falls City has an overall 5-3 record for the year. They opened the season with a loss to Three Rivers, 28-27 followed by a beat by the Poth Pirates, 5113, The Beavers were victorious in their last three preseason games against Stockdale, Brackett, and LASAA. In district they opened with a win against Louise 48-7 before being narrowly defeated by Dave Campbell’s Football Magazines predicted district champion, Shiner, 213. Football family making special memories this season
A unique dynamic takes to the field each week for the Wildcats. Brothers Ryan Knostman Jr. and Brayden Knostman are getting the special experience of playing on the field alongside each other under Friday Night Lights. Ryan Knostman Jr. is a returning starter for the Wildcats and his younger brother, sophomore Brayden Knostman debuted his abilities for the varsity squad this year.
