The Wildcat Powerlifting Team had four regional qualifiers, including from left, Rylan Rau, Manuel Macias, Justin Guerrero, and Johnathan Guerrero. Coach Bruno Mata, at right, said Rau placed 5th at state in the 242 pound weight class; Johnathan Guerrero won state in the 132 pound weight class.

Person punches ticket to state as Yorktown impresses at region
The Yorktown Kitty Kat and Wildcat track teams made their presence known at the UIL Class 2A Region IV Track Meet held at Javelina Stadium on April 18–19. Kitty Kats, Wildcats excel at district, area meets
It’s been a whirlwind two weeks for the Yorktown Kitty Kat and Wildcat Track teams, and they’re showing no signs of slowing down. Competing at the District 31-2A Track Meet in Three Rivers on April 3 and the District 31/32-2A Area Meet in Kingsville on April 10, these athletes came ready to run, jump, and throw their way into the record books—and that’s exactly what they did.
