Raymond Adolph Faltesek
Raymond Adolph Faltesek, 92, of Cuero passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024. He was born May 26, 1932, in Port Lavaca to Adolph George and Agnes Frances Pecena Faltesek. He married Oretha Grace Gottschalt on November 14, 1954, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Cuero. Raymond was a skilled welder and retired from Victoria Machine Works after working there for thirty-five years. He served as a volunteer fireman for Cuero Volunteer Fire Department for thirty-five years. In his free time, he enjoyed working on lawn mowers, hunting, fishing and cooking BBQ. His best memories and time spent were with his family making deer sausage and going on vacations to the coast. He treasured being a dad, grandpa and great grandpa. He was known by most for his bubbly personality and contagious smile. 07/09/2024 01:52 PM

While the city is turning junk into bucks with its new GovDeals account, its purchase of a Kubota excavator will pay dividends in proper repairs for years to come, according to Mayor Bill Baker. DeWitt County Precinct 1 Constable Kelly Phelps was involved in a crash on IH-10 in Colorado County on Wednesday, June 12 at 4:15 a.m., according to a crash report filed with the Texas Department of Transportation.
