GOD first...Heavenly Father, we pray for rain. For those around us that are weak and weary of constantly suffering with their own problems, give them strength to join us and unite with us in prayer as we ask in the name of our Savior, to comfort and heal us of all our doubts and fears, to be with us all, helping through the strength of Your Amazing Grace. Amen. 10/02/2024 12:46 PM

Editor’s Note: This column was scheduled for the September 25 issue GOD first... Heavenly Father, we know that You know what is in our hearts when we pray. Those who pray for material things and wishful things can't be answered and if they are, it will be given only through Your own Amazing Grace. As our hearts open up to You, help us in all we do for those around us and grant us assurance that through Your will, it will be answered. We pray in the name of our Dear Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen. 10/02/2024 12:46 PM

Dewitt County Historical Museum undergoes renovation
The history of De-Witt County is as old as the history of Texas itself. From early hunter-gatherers who roamed this area to the first settlers in 1826 with Empresario Green DeWitt, there is more than a lifetime of history to discover here. Preservation of the past can be a way to remember those who went before us, be it good or bad, with stories, histories and even everyday items. 10/02/2024 12:46 PM
