Cuero’s reputation comes up around the world
Cuero’s reputation comes up around the world
Hello my fellow Cueroites It's been a few weeks since my last message. To say I have been busy is an understatement. Velma and I took a much needed break with a 10day cruise to Central America, November 1525. We visited Cozumel, Costa Rica, Panama and Honduras. Although I enjoyed the visit to our neighbors south of us, I was reminded how blessed we are in our United States. I ran into a couple from Gonzales as we traversed the Panama Canal, which was breathtaking. Both commented on how much they love Cuero, Turkeyfest, Christmas in the Park, Cuero Christmas downtown were a few of the events we talked about. I also met a couple from Waco, and of course the Cuero Gobblers was the talk of this conversation, as Cuero has had many Cuero Gobblers play for the Baylor Bears. I am so PROUD of our Cuero Gobbler team this year. Although the season has ended, the many memories, lessons learned and representations of the City of Cuero will last a lifetime. Thank you young men, well done!! 12/04/2024 06:21 PM

Hunt elementary students know the meaning of Thanksgiving
Hunt elementary students know the meaning of Thanksgiving
It was a wonderful surprise for the crew at Pet Adoptions of Cuero this month when the Hunt Elementary Student Council decided to share, care and help out the local pet shelter. The student group sponsored a pet food and shelter 'needs' drive to benefit the local non profit organization. Over 100 items were collected and the PAOC staff was delighted with the variety of donated necessities that they need and use every day to feed, clean and care for the homeless dogs and cats. Many of the students are pet owners or have adopted from Pet Adoptions of Cuero. It was easy for them to choose the best items to donate. PAOC wants to thank the students, their parents and their teachers for this much appreciated support for the shelter. 12/04/2024 06:21 PM

Heavenly Father... Heavenly Father, today I feel alone, yet I am not lonely. There is peace in solitude while I pray in quietness to lead my thoughts to restful healing. Help me use this time alone to find myself and reach deep inside my heart and mind to find peace. Calm the spirit within me as I reach out for Your Amazing Grace and pray in the name of our dear Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen. 11/27/2024 01:52 PM
