Concerns raised for person unhoused by demolition

The City of Yorktown got serious about cleaning up substandard properties this year, taking dozens of structures through the legal process of notification, inspection, condemnation and demolition. Abraham Zamora, 32, of Portland passed away Monday, May 26, 2025 in Aransas Pass. He was born December 22, 1992 in Columbus to Antonio Jr. and Elda Gonzales Zamora. He proudly served in the United States Army and Army Reserves where he served tours in Iraq and Syria. Some of his hobbies included hunting, fishing, doing mechanic work and dancing. He loved going to the beach and helping people.
