On February 22, 2025, the Pharmacy and Medical Museum of Texas unveiled the stunning Museum Founder’s Mural, created by talented artist Rafael Acosta, Jr. This remarkable piece serves as a poignant tribute from Joe Reuss to his beloved wife, Wanda, who passed away in 2011. The mural embodies Joe's deep love and admiration for Wanda, capturing their enduring bond. Tragically, Reuss passed away in 2024 and did not have the chance to witness the final masterpiece, leaving behind a legacy of love intertwined with art.

With a projected decrease of 10% in public education funding when vouchers are fully realized, Dyer said cutbacks in personnel will be inevitable.

Angler catches same ShareLunker fish twice in two years
Nearly two years to the day after reeling in ShareLunker 641 from Lake Alan Henry, angler Ross Gomez caught a 14.78-pound bass only to discover it was the same fish. Gomez, of Post, caught the fish in the same location and again entered it into the Toyota Share-Lunker program, this time as ShareLunker 674.

Help us to realize that when things don't go our way, we know that we are being tested or plans for us are altered because most of the time You are in control and things we want aren't in the plans You have for us. Johnnie Bednorz
Johnnie Bednorz, 90, of Yorktown, passed away February 15,2025. Johnnie was born February 19, 1934 in Nordheim, Texas to Isador and Ella Riedesel Bednorz. He was an entrepreneur starting businesses such as renting houses, Anchor Dozer Service, working in the oilfield, raising cattle and becoming Executive Vice President for Saw Drilling Company. He was a wonderful father, role model with a very compassionate heart towards others. He was also a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
