Carolina Salinas
Carolina Salinas, 89, of Yorktown passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024. She was born on March 31, 1935 in Nordheim, TX to the late Natividad and Rosaria Gomez. She loved God! She was an active member of the Guadalupanas for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to casinos and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving, caring, generous mother and her granddaughters were her world.

The Cuero ISD will hold its substitute training on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. in the Cuero ISD Administration Office located at 960 East Broadway, Cuero. All substitutes must attend this training. New applicants need to bring a copy of their social security card, driver’s license, and transcript or diploma to the training as well. A Walk in Wonderland
Many families took part in the 'Night of Lights' on Thursday, January 2nd, at Cuero Christmas Park. Sponsored by Cuero Regional Hospital, Christmas in the Park, and Be Fit Cuero Wellness Center, the event concluded with a delightful walk through beautiful lights, set against pleasant weather and filled with good cheer. A large crowd of hundred attendees gathered with family and friends to enjoy hot chocolate as they bid farewell to 2024.

Wolf named Texas Farm Bureau Pioneer
(ROUND ROCK, Texas) DeWitt County farmer and rancher Albert Wayne Wolf received the Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) Pioneer Award at the organization’s annual meeting in Round Rock. “Wayne was truly a pioneer in Farm Bureau, and we are proud to recognize him with this award,” DeWitt County Farm Bureau President Joseph Warwas said.

The county’s leadership was recognized on stage before the nearly 1,200 Farm Bureau members in attendance at the Texas Farm Bureau 91st Annual Meeting in Round Rock this month.
