Kitty Kat tracksters dominate at Karnes City
On February, 28, the Yorktown Kitty and Wildcat JV and Varsity track teams opened up their track season at the Karnes City Invitational, with the Kitty Kats winning the Varsity Girls Division. Other schools participating in the meet were Charlotte, Hondo, Karnes City, Kenedy, Nixon-Smiley, Pawnee, Poteet, and Prairie Lea. 03/11/2025 11:21 AM

Yorktown medals in backto- back tournaments
Cameron Willis led the way for the Wildcats’ last tournament, however Kolton Eckhardt spearheaded the win for the Wildcats this week. In a field of 59 golfers, Eckhardt’s personal record (77) was nudged out of first place by a single stroke. His performance was vital in propelling the Wildcats to tie for first place as a team against Cuero, while it was Colton Rogers who solidified the win. 03/11/2025 11:21 AM

Wildcats medal in first tournament
On February 24, the boys golf team consisting of Cameron Willis, Kolton Eckhardt, Connor Saunders, Brody Metting, and Colton Rogers debuted their skills in the Weimar Wildcat Invitational. The team tallied an overall 348 score, awarding them second place behind Schulenburg. Other teams participating include: Brazos, Columbus, Ganado, Giddings, Hallettsville, Sacred Heart, Sealy, Shiner, and Weimar. 03/05/2025 03:55 PM

Track season takes off
Track season takes off
The Cuero Gobblers took to the track on February 27 in Goliad participating in the Shirley Fmka Relays. The Varsity Boys _nished in 9th place overall, and the JV Boys brought home the silver, _nishing 2nd, just 5 points shy of Ingleside who topped the list. Sophomore Jessiah Rodriguez jumped a personal best, for the JV Boys team, of 5’9” in the high jump. Coach Adam DuBose noted “after _ghting the rain and cold the last few weeks we were happy to _nally get out on the track. I am extremely excited about the way our guys competed in every event they were in.” 03/05/2025 03:55 PM

The Cuero Lady Gobblers showcased sheer determination and skill as they faced off against the Sinton Lady Pirates and Navarro Lady Panthers in two decisive playoff matchups last week. Lady Gobblers head to regional semis
It’s playoff time and the Cuero Lady Gobblers had no trouble coming through when they needed to. They rose to the challenge in a bi-district game versus Carrizo Springs, on February 10 with ease, trouncing the Wildcats 69-40 and squared up versus the Wimberley Texans on Thursday, Feb. 13, coming out on top 58-40, making them Area Champions.
